2 Year Health Guarantee

The health and well being of your new Paradise puppy is our top priority. We guarantee your puppy is going home in good health and free of any obvious diseases or defects, unless specified by us.

Your Paradise puppy is also covered by our 2 Year Health Guarantee. If your puppy falls ill with a potentially fatal genetic or hereditary disease within 24 months of the purchase date, we will provide you a full refund equal to the purchase price. Veterinary bills will not be covered by us under any circumstance.

Our strict health check policy guarantees your Paradise puppy is examined by a certified veterinarian for any health concerns and receives their first set of vaccinations and deworming before you take your puppy home.

Your Paradise puppy is guaranteed to be protected against Canine Distemper, Parvo Virus, Parainfluenza, and Adenovirus Type 2 at the time of purchase.

Your Obligations

You must bring your Paradise puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 3-5 days of the purchase date for a health examination.

If the Paradise puppy is found to be suffering from a health condition and is therefore deemed to be unfit for sale by your veterinarian, the puppy shall be returned to us and we will provide a full refund equal to the purchase price. You must notify us within 48 hours, and a written letter from your veterinarian with the complete diagnosis must be sent to us. We reserve the right to have the diagnosis verified by another veterinarian of our choice.

You must follow up with the second and third round of vaccinations, as well as the rabies shot at around four (4) months of age to ensure the health of your puppy after purchase. It is highly recommended to continue regularly visiting the veterinarian afterwards for health check-ups and yearly inoculations.

Overpopulation is a problem. These Paradise puppies are meant to be companions, not to be bred. You must spay/neuter your Paradise puppy before eight (8) months of age.

Stress colitis is the leading cause of diarrhea in all puppies and is very common especially after being moved to a new home. Adjusting to life without their siblings and the new environment they’re unfamiliar with can cause stress colitis (diarrhea, sometimes bloody or with mucus). Symptoms are temporary; however, it’s always recommended to visit the veterinarian if the symptoms persist. Stress colitis is not covered by this Paradise Health Guarantee.

Every Paradise puppy up until the time of sale has grown up surrounded by their siblings and other puppies/dogs. No puppy wants to be alone and you understand that if left alone, the puppy may show signs of separation anxiety (crying, whining, barking). Having other friendly pets/dogs in the household helps them to adjust. You must take this into consideration before buying a puppy, as separation anxiety is not covered by this Paradise Health Guarantee.

Our mission is to provide Paradise puppies in Eastern Canada with perfect, loving homes for life. Re-selling of our puppies at any time after the purchase date will void this Paradise Health Guarantee.

For purposes of this Paradise Health Guarantee, the refund is limited to the purchase price only. Under no circumstance will any additional costs or expenses be covered.

Do not over or under feed. You must feed your Paradise puppy the recommended amount as stated by your veterinarian, and make sure they maintain a healthy body weight and receiving adequate exercise. Failure to do so may lead to health issues not covered by this Paradise Health Guarantee.

**Failure to fulfill any of the above Obligations will terminate this Health Guarantee and render it null and void.**

Terms and Conditions

If within 24 months from the date of sale the Paradise puppy is found to have a life threatening genetic or hereditary health condition, or a disease covered by our first immunizations, we will provide a full refund equal to the purchase price. Paradise Puppies must be notified and provided all necessary documents within five (5) days of the original diagnosis performed by a qualified doctor of veterinary medicine. We reserve the right to a second opinion from a veterinarian of our choice.

You assume all responsibility for veterinary costs associated with the Paradise puppy immediately after your purchase has been made.**

**For Emergencies:

Paradise Puppies offers veterinary care at our expense for health-related emergencies only within seven (7) days from the purchase date. However, in the event that you take your puppy to the emergency veterinarian by your own accord within the seven (7) day period without returning the puppy to us, you accept responsibility for all costs associated with the visit. In case of an accident requiring emergency treatment (not included), you must seek medical help
immediately.

If your Paradise puppy is deceased and you are requesting a refund, you must perform a necropsy at your expense to determine the cause of death. A full refund will be issued if the cause of death is derived from a genetic or hereditary health condition or from a disease covered by our first immunizations.

Not Covered:

  • Elbow/hip dysplasia,
  • Over/under bites,
  • Hernias,
  • Trachea issues,
  • Undescended testes,
  • Injuries,
  • Allergies,
  • Kennel cough,
  • Heat exhaustion,
  • Parasites,
  • Hypoglycemia,
  • Separation anxiety,
  • Stress colitis,
  • Patellar luxation,
  • Fleas/ticks.

Injuries or complications caused by physical accidents, or unknowingly consuming a foreign object are not covered by this Paradise Health Guarantee.

Temperament issues are not covered as various factors beyond our control such as a lack of training, lack of socialization, living circumstances, etc. determine temperament.

Allergy Warning

If you are purchasing a hypoallergenic puppy, please keep in mind that most of our Paradise puppies play together at random times during the week. It is likely that any of our hypoallergenic puppies have met another canine friend that is not hypoallergenic. Therefore, if you are bringing home one of our hypoallergenic puppies and you or one of your close family members have a very sensitive allergy to non-hypoallergenic dogs or puppies, we highly recommend giving your puppy a bath before introducing them to him/her. Wash the puppy’s coat thoroughly with puppy shampoo, being very careful not to get water in their ears/nose or soap in their eyes.

If you or anyone in your family is allergic to dogs, you must take this into consideration before buying one of our Paradise puppies. If you’re unsure and worried that your puppy will cause you or any of your immediate family members to suffer an allergic reaction upon bringing them home, we completely understand. Let us know of your allergy concerns, and we will be happy to set up a play session between you and the puppy for however long is necessary in our home.

Under no circumstance can we be held responsible for any allergic reaction caused to you or anyone in your family by one of our Paradise puppies after the purchase has been made. The purchase of a Paradise Puppy is considered a Final Sale immediately after the puppy is paid for by you. Please do your due diligence before purchasing a puppy.

Return Policy

Placing our Paradise puppies in loving, life-long homes is very important to us. Puppies are living creatures with personalities and emotions, they are not toys that you can play with for a couple of days and then ask to return them. That is not fair to the puppy, or to us. Only purchase a Paradise Puppy if you are fully committed and ready for the responsibilities that come with the addition of your new furry little friend. Do your research first.

Our Return Policy is as follows:

  1. Paradise Puppies will never accept a puppy in return for a full purchase price refund, if the reason for the return does not have to do with a health concern or disease.
  2. The refund amount you will receive for the puppy return that does not have to do with a health concern or disease, is to be determined between both parties via negotiation.
  3. Paradise Puppies will not consider return requests that do not have to do with a health concern or disease after five (5) days of the date of sale and it is then your responsibility to make sure the puppy has a loving and caring forever home.
